Actually Colitas literally means “little bottoms”. Most people believe this is how they’re choosing to refer to Marijuana.
When asked about it the Eagles always say, it is a desert flower (antelope sage/colita de rata)

This rendition of Hotel California is trying to capture “the Spirit of California” in a 7- minute song. The Spanish guitar intro and Spanish parts adds flavor to the song. Hotel California may be a myth but it is the Eagles trademark song. Look “The Eagles” were one of the most “philosophical Rock groups” of the ’70’s. Listen to the lyrics of their songs.
